The New Orleans Saints have reached into the CFL again and signed BC Lions cornerback Anthony Gaitor to a reserve/futures contract on Friday according to the NFL’s transaction wire.  Earlier this week, they signed BC Lions linebacker Adam Bighill and Ottawa RedHawks defensive back Forrest Hightower.

The Saints have had much publicized success with CFL players.

Anthony Gaitor was selected in the seventh round of the 2011 NFL Draft by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.  He played in 12 NFL games in his first two seasons in Tampa Bay and recorded 12 tackles. Gator had a season-ending injury in training camp in 2013.  He signed with subsequent NFL teams–Dolphins, Buccaneers or Cardinals–but failed to find a home, rotating to the CFL.
