The Saints have re-signed one of their own unrestricted free agents, Travaris Cadet. Cadet is a very versatile back–as comfortable with a catch as a run. Cadet was originally signed by the New Orleans Saints as an undrafted running back in 2012. His deal is for one year. (On another note, the Saints lost Khiry Robinson to the Jets).
In Week 6 of the 2013 NFL season, Cadet had his first touchdown reception of his career. In 2014, he was set to be a restricted free agent after the 2014 season, but the Saints did not place a tender on him. He then was signed by the New England Patriots. Due to injury, he was active for only one game before he was released by the Patriots. Cadet then signed with the San Francisco 49ers, and in December 2015 Cadet was waived but was picked up by the Saints shortly.
Cadet has appeared in 48 games for these three teams with two starts and has 62 receptions for 559 yards with three touchdowns, carried 22 times for 65 yards, 53 kickoff returns for 1,387 yard three punt returns for three yards.
