New Orleans Saints re-sign Luke McCown to a Two-Year, $3 million deal that included a $500K signing bonus. The Saints have been very savvy to re-sign some of their best talent. McCown had been scheduled to meet with the Indianapolis Colts.
This will be Luke McCown's 4th season w/ #Saints, and 1st time he'll be making more than veteran minimum salary.

Luke McCown showed great poise as a back up quarterback both for making a commercial about backup generators for Verizon and as a quarterback during a memorable game against the Carolina Panthers in Carolina where he almost beat the “unbeatable” Panthers. McCown ended the season with a back problem but with the advent of this signing, his medical problems appeared to be behind him. Sean Payton’s offensive system is complex, and it is good to know the back up quarterback is well-versed in the system.
Congrats to McCown and kudos to the Saints.
