Could the Saints be in the mix for a trade at the trade deadline Tuesday, Nov 3 at 3pm?

The most serious injury the Saints suffered yesterday was the damage done to Khiry Robinson’s right tibia.  It was severely broken.  He left the game in an air cast and went straight to the hospital.  He had surgery last night and is out for the season.  Khiry Robinson’s twitter handle is @_numberthreeRB.  Send your well wishes to him there.  It is expected the Saints will sign another running back–perhaps Tim Hightower or Pierre Thomas?  UPDATE:  Saints have re-signed Tim Hightower.

Cornerback Damian Swann left the game in what appeared to be another concussion.  He had just returned to the line up after having had suffered an earlier concussion on Oct 11. Swann collided with a teammate and hit his head hard on the turf.  It was a frightening moment, when he lay face down for several minutes before going to the locker room. Per the Saints, Swann is going through the NFL’s concussion protocol.  This could be Swann’s second concussion in three weeks.

Line backers, Hau’oli Kekaha and Ramon Humber left the game with injuries.  Kekaha left with an ankle injury but was able to walk without assistance.  Karim Edebali played in his absence and will likely to continue to play if Kikaha’s injury keeps him out another week. Humber left with a hamstring injury, and Michael Mauti took his place.  Newly re-signed JoLonn Dunbar is likely to see action given the thinning of the linebacking corps.
