It was everything a fan could ask for and more.  Thrilling to the very end and an in-your-face statement to pundits who called the end of the Saints season before 7:25pm today.  Drew Brees was mobile throughout the night, nullifying the pass rush against rookie and beat up offensive linemen.  Sean Payton’s play calling was exquisite.  NOTE to national media–Drew Brees will not be traded and Sean Payton will not be coaching for a dysfunctional owner.  All you can ask for as a fan is for your team to constantly evolve and improve.  The New Orleans Saints proved tonight they are well able to do so.  Rob Ryan’s and Dennis Allen’s defense was mighty and strong throughout the night.  The sustained offensive drives allowed the defense to get the rest it needed between series and the effect on the defense showed.  Rushing and harassing the Matt Ryan the entire night was the game plan, and it worked.  There were so many turnovers by Atlanta, I lost count.  Danelle Ellerbe was unbelievable causing and recovering fumbles, and Cam Jordan shone with three sacks on the night.  Delvin Breaux was exceptional in his coverage of Julio Jones.  It will be excited to see him improve on his already great play.  Only penalized three times tonight.  I am incredibly proud of this team.  Their fight, their guts, their never-say-die attitude.  I’m rolling with them as they continue to evolve and improve.
