Luke McCown as the back up quarterback truly shone today as did Senio Kelemente in his debut as the starting right guard.  The Saints under McCown were able to move the ball effectively but penalties and dropped balls stalled drives.  Like the way the offensive line is shaping up.

As for the defense, the unit was effective at times except in the secondary where the lack of a speedy defensive back truly hindered the team.  Brandon Browner could use the help of Keenan Lewis and Jairus Byrd, and without this help, the Saints will struggle to stop the long ball.

In my opinion, Sean Payton has not lost this team or its pulse given the way the Saints were able to move the ball.  I think Drew Brees has been injured and not playing up to his standards.

All in all, the Saints were more effective than I thought they would be, the younger players got some valuable reps, and I am very proud of the effort of the Saints and the play of Luke McCown.
