Saints Versus Cardinals Recap

Saints Versus Cardinals Recap

Despite the first series, the defense kept pressure on Palmer and had decent coverage in the secondary.  They played better than expected from my point of view but gave up one too many big play. Except for the Breaux penalties, the secondary was much improved over last year and Lewis has yet to see the field.  Offensively, the receivers struggled catching the ball consistently and Drew as under pressure during the second half. Can’t wait to see Willie Snead to be more involved and what Cooks and Coleman will bring. Liked the Ingram and Robinson runs and the fact we kept faithful to the run game. Offense struggled in getting balls into the end zone but unlike some I do not believe Jimmy Graham would have made the difference as I remember a lot of dropped end zone balls by him last year. Hocker was money on a the field goals, and it was nice to be able to relax in field goal situations. I would have gone for it at 4th and six at the end of the game. Go down swinging.

We will have more in-depth coverage later in the week once we have had time to analyze film.
