Once again, a member of the Atlanta Falcons is in trouble for their treatment of dogs. Second year outside linebacker Prince Shembo is facing felony animal cruelty charges after allegedly killing his girlfriend’s dog on April 15th. His girlfriend reportedly found the dog, a yorkie named Dior, unresponsive after leaving the dog alone with Shembo at his apartment. Shembo told her the next day he had kicked the dog.
Update 5/29/15 4:37 PM: Per the team’s official Twitter account, the Atlanta Falcons have waived Prince Shembo.
