Prediction: First round. If the New Orleans Saints go for a wide receiver early, I think they will pass on Perriman given his drops and needed polish. They will want a ready made wide receiver and he will be gone when they select in the later rounds.
Draft Profile of Breshad Perriman
Position: Wide Receiver
STRENGTHS: Strong, tall and aggressive with long arms and an impressive wingspan as well as soft NFL hands. Can get deep with his deceptive stride. Good runner after catch. Perriman’s father played receiver in the NFL for 10 years and had two 1,000-yard seasons with the Detroit Lions.
WEAKNESSES: Waits for the ball rather than run back to quarterback. Needs to add polish to route running and has very inconsistent hands and more than his share of drops. May lack NFL speed to be starting receiver and currently does not have the savvy to outfox NFL defenders.
