I for one am not ready for an off-season of Spags bashing. Clearly something was rotten in the Saints defensive locker room, but I’m not up for a steady diet of Spags bashing. We had high expectations that were dashed in the first game, the second, the third, and the list goes on, but whether the fault lies with Spags, defensive talent or somewhere in between, is the question. I’m willing to let the Saints administration grapple with that problem in private.
Well, I PARTLY agree with Wang. I have no interest in the soap opera. I want to spend the offseason talking about free agents and draft picks, not Goodell’s lies. I really don’t like airing dirty laundry in the media, but using the media as a conduit to Payton makes it acceptable, I suppose.
I commend your ability to go cold turkey. I want this year to be Who Dat Nation: The Vengeance. It’s kind of like a 80s Stallone film. Payton’s at the Hornets game tonight, probably passing notes to Mickey Loomis via Hugo.
I’m afraid that I agree with Wang. I’m now addicted to the soap opera version of the Saints. I expect this off season to be no different. SP will be back, angry at the League, and ready to roll over everyone. It’s bound to reverberate around town. Can. Not. Wait.
Of course, if a devious Who Dat somehow slips rat poison in that vermin’s gumbo during Super Bowl, it will be nonstop drama. What is a good soap without the villain occasionally getting their just desserts?
